What does the outfit you’re wearing cost?

Neményi Márton | 2015. Június 01.
We shot some street fashion photos with a twist. We didn't go for extreme cool or really out there outfits, rather the more plain, averagely pretty people, who can make everyday outfits work and they wear them proudly. Luckily we have found lots of good photo subjects from high school seniors to thirty-somethings from the suburs to downtown. After they agreed to have their photo taken, we asked them to hold a piece of paper with the value of the outfit they are wearing that day

It turned out that people of Budapest sitting around on squares, having a school coffee break, rushing to the office or transferring from bus to tram usually wear clothes in a quite similar price range. There are a few extremely creative examples of course – would you have thought that the laid back cool of a teenager can be achieved from 7500 Hungarian forints (or a bit more than 25 bucks)? Here’s the proof.

Zsófi (28)– 15.000 HUF / $53

Zoli (33) – 30.000 HUF / $106

Zsuzsi & Pali, thirty-somethings – 24.000 HUF / $85 and 39.000 HUF / $138

Matt (20) – 35.000 HUF / $124

Norbi (19) – 45.000 HUF  / $160

Lea (18) – 30.000 HUF / $106

Pörgő (19) – 38.000 HUF / $134

Vica (30) – 48.000 HUF / $170 (including umbrella). She made us swear to include that this is her 7.15AM outfit (and face) for going to the office

Korinna (19) – 30.000 HUF / $106

Réka (17) – 15 000 HUF / $53
