My outfit and my sexuality do not have anything to do with my worth as a human being, or my ability to meaningfully contribute to the world, and they DEFINITELY shouldn't have any bearing whatsoever on my right to basic safety and body autonomy. . It's sad that we still live in a word where the same parts of a woman's body that are considered too offensive for public display (our nipples) are openly shown off by men. Where women are still being told to think about what we wear when we go out alone at night, and to take more responsibility for our safety, while NO ONE is telling men not to rape, assault, and demean women. . Let's start changing the dialogue. Stop your friends and colleagues when you hear them make judgements about a woman based off how she's dressed or who she's sleeping with. If you're a man walking on an isolated street at night and you see a woman ahead, let her know you'll pass her or cross to the other side of the road so it's not her responsibility to worry about you. Take women based off of their character, NOT their clothes or their lifestyle choices. By continuing to judge women this way, to view our bodies as objects for public consumption, we are continuing the perpetuation of rape culture; the idea that women need to cover up and conform in order to have basic safety and respect. A nő szerint hatalmas szabadságérzetet adott neki az, hogy nem viselt melltartót, amitől sokkal produktívabban tudott dolgozni. „Most először éreztem magam igazán kényelmesen az íróasztalomnál, már ebéd előtt végeztem a napi feladatokkal.”

Tapasztalatai után Nadia olyan kutatásokat kezdett támogatni, amelyek alátámasztják a melltartó-nem-viselés pozitív oldalait.

Nadia azóta nem visel melltartót a munkahelyén. Szerinte akit ez zavar, az nem elég érett.
